Tenderness by Claire Brocato

Claire loves capturing emotions and real moments through her lens, especially in natural light, and allowing a story to unfold on its own, in a photo-journalistic style.
“I have always had an appreciation for beautiful and creative photographs, but only really started learning what I could do with my Nikon during the earlier part of 2009. I am still learning, but I’m thoroughly enjoying this journey and loving the world that photography has introduced me to!” – Claire Brocato

Venice in a Day

Venice is one of the most stunning cities in the world. With no wheeled traffic, water is the lifeblood of the city. Reflected in water, built over water, and slowly, being consumed by the water, this thousand year old city is one of the world's treasures.
To walk out of the rail station in the northwest corner of Venice and onto the quayside of the Grand Canal is to walk straight into an old master painting: an assault of rich color, an impasto of stone textures, and the illusion of streets turned to water.

A day in Venice (Venezia) in Italy, from daybreak to sunset in timelapse. Beautiful stop motion video photographed and created by Joerg Niggli welcomes for a day journey to Venice. It's really a great place.

Cat’s Eyes

Have you ever considered why the cat’s eyes shines in the dark?
The cat’s eyes are like the human’s eyes. When there is a little light, apples of the cat’s eyes enlarge as the same as human’s and reduce in daily light. Shining in the night is considered of inner covering matters on the bottom of eyes. This reflective covering may be pink, green, blue and even gold. Depending on the incident light it reflects a different color. Thanks for this cats see in the night about seven times better than people. Some cats may have two different colours of eyes shining in the dark.

The cats may have eyes in one of the three basic shapes:
  • round
  • inclined
  • almand-shaped
Theirs colours are usually green, gold and rarely blue. They may occur in many different
tones.

While most cats do not distinguish colours, but his eyes are adapted to the use of trace amounts of light, which allows him to hunt at night. Also has a much wider viewing angle than a man, which allows him to perceive the slightest movement of potential prey.

Cats view the world in the colours, at least in the green and blue and their combinations. No cells are sensitive to red indicates that the cats probably do not distinguish color, but that the objects as they appear darker than green, and blue. Amazing Horses

Photographer Wojtek Kwiatkowski probably the most famous horse photographer. He is an author and a publisher of books about Arabians breeding all over the world. “I have many years of experience in the field. I collect books and archival photos of Arabian horses. For about 25 years I’ve gathered a wide photographic record library of the breeding in Poland. But that was just a documentation of horses in a specific – standing, halter position. My adventure with artistic photography started 4 years ago when I bought my first professional digital camera.” Have fun!
